Outfit Post: Glamour

Hello Charmed Girls!

Last Thursday I went to Drop Dead Gorgeous Magazine's Grand Launch which was held at Prive Luxury Club. Of course I won't miss the chance to be there because the first issue featured me and Aimee and the Charmed blog!

Hearing the location and the event, the first thing I had in mind was the word GLAMOUR. DDG magazine features beautiful, sophisticated, gorgeous ladies that will be the faces of the magazine, and the location, Prive Luxury Club at The Fort Strip, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, is a "luxury club", a hang-out for classy people who likes to feel a high-class party experience. Their black and gold interiors really screams GLAMOUR!!! So I won't doubt why in the DDG e-invite the dress code is chic casual-black and-gold.

I got the invite 5 days before the event. Short preparation eh? Good thing I had my best-fashionista-blogger-friends Aimee and Paige to the rescue!!

Aimee picked this dress for me. Knowing she has an upcoming accessories collection in Summer Dream, I asked her if she has black-and-gold accessories .The next day, she brought a whole set! Includes the collar necklace, gold bangle, tassel earrings and the butterfly ring! Love talaga kita Aimee! Outfit saver ka!

Gold metal bangle, Butterfly ring, Tassel Earrings from Summer Dream by Aimee

Alexandria belt (my own) | Combat peep toe boots from Paige of Petite Rayon de Soleil

Paige from Petit Rayon de Soleil lend me these shoes! So fab! Really complements the dress!
Thank you Paige! Love you too!

I love the reflective walls inside Prive! See? Told ya! GLAMOUR is first word you can think of aside from "Wow!" or "Fabulous!" haha :D!
Does this look like an oh-no-what-will-I-wear outfit? Haha! I really loved how the black flowy dress plus the rough chic peep-toe boots create contrast yet partnered with gold accessories make it so glamorous. Simplicity at its best, yeah.

Another thanks to my bestfriend/neighbor/make-up artist for the night, Daisy for doing my make-up! She kept it light with foundation, eyeliner and brown eyeshadow and of course the red lipstick! It really looked good to me! "And that's because of my gorgeous and magical hands" she said. Haha :D

Taken by Ma'am Colleen (from Ms. Apple Hollin's albums)

So what can you say about my look? Do I look great for the DDG magazine launch? Please leave a comment below! I wanna read them!

P.S. Grab a copy of Drop Dead Gorgeous Magazine! Featured are diff. travel destinations and food trips and of course Charmed blog's magazine feature with me and Aimee!! You can order your copy online thru or email . Tell me what you think of it!

This one is actually my personal pick. Firmoo gave me the chance to choose the kind of glasses I like and it also comes with a very cute pink case. Since I don't really wear glasses with grade, I just choose this really cute shades. Oh, Momo did help me pick this one too! :)

Collage IT lovely! :)

Good rainy evening, everyone!

It's my time to share another blog giveaway experience.

Just a while ago, I received a message saying that I won in a giveaway contest. This really made me feel happy and, of course, really lucky. I'm not that kind of person who joins every giveaway contest I lay my eyes on (though, there's nothing really wrong with that.) I just join whenever I feel like joining. :)

Actually, one of the factors that really made me want to blog are those giveaways held by generous bloggers out there in order to gain followers (or  maybe because of other reasons). Like many, hesitation really occurred to me at first. I used to ask myself, 'are these people that rich to just giveaway random stuff to anyone by only clicking the 'follow' or 'like' button here in the cyber world?' Pretty sure that many have also asked that question. I've read posts on Tumblr by different people who were surprised and hesitant like I did before. Many didn't really like spam about giveaways flooding their dashboards. But then, the day that I've won my first giveaway prize came and that really surprised me. I'm on my way to school that morning when someone called me asking for my address. That call made my day. Also, I felt 100% lucky from that day on because my prize isn't just an ordinary prize. It is a gift certificate worth of Php 2000. As I remember, I made a blog post about that here (Please do check it :).
Okay, enough of that long story of my previous giveaway prize. Past is past and lets now focus on the present. I've won a software. It is a full version of CollageIt software from Pearl Mountain Soft Technology. 'CollageIt is an easy-to-use collage maker which allows you to make photo collages on Mac and Windows automatically in minutes with just a few clicks. With it you can share your photos with friends and family in a unique way'.
You can also download it for free at

Before I end this post, I am extending my deepest gratitude to Pearl Mountain Soft Technology and to Ms. Paige Seven of Petite Rayon de Soleil for this very wonderful software. Thank you so much! :)

A sample of the collage I made. This is really perfect for a totally vain girl like me. :))

Have a nice night.
PS: May you continue reading our posts. Share your thoughts too. Leave us a message. :)
Please don't forget to follow! :)
With much love,
Aimee. :)

LOTD:This was supposed to be an Outfit Post

Hello Charmed girls!

Another frustrated outfit post of mine, so I just ended up with a make-up/look review for that day.
Last Sunday was my aunt's birthday. Coincidentally, I and my mom stopped at Megamall last friday, and I was bugging her to shop because of the on-going clearance sale (which is not really true because the price rarely goes down :/ ). So I just told my mom to just drop by Genevieve Gozum 'cause of Ate Nina of CharNina. I've been a fan of their blog and checking their outfit posts, and I always see that Ate Nina usually wears a piece from Genevieve Gozum. Upon stalking their shop for a while, I've figured out how affordable the price of the clothes and the variety of the items. That Friday I went with my mom, I saw a lot of sheer polos and mullet skirts for a price of..... ta-dah! 400-700 pesos! What a saving! But since we just dropped by, my mom picked this soft-gathered neckline with a big owl design shirt for 199pesos. And since we are in a hurry, I didn't had the chance to fit it without other clothes on XD.

So here's the story. My mom asked me to wear the shirt for my aunt's birthday. And when I tried it on....
IT WAS BODY-HUGGING! FITTED ! And my ARMS are bulging out! I really LOOKED FAT!
I was so happy with the design pa naman, I thought. But I have no choice, wear this now or just wait for my body to shrink (it will take months?) before I wear this again to flatter myself.

Let's have a look first of my do for that day:

FACE: SkinWhite Face cream Powder in Soft Beige, Clinique Face Powder, Lewis&Pearl Loose Powder in Rain| EYES: IN2IT Gel Liner in Brown | LIPS; Avon Lip Balm in Cherry, Loreal Paris Colour Riche Lipstick in Fuschia Red
As you can see the products I'm using are not so expensive, and I'm not using other products like bronzers, primers, concealers, lip liners etc. that may 1.) may damage my skin 2.) make me feel I SHOULD use it, thus getting used to it even if my skin DOESN'T NEED it . I just stick to the basics actually, use of sunscreens, liquid base for higher coverage, and use of lip balm to soften the lips.

I'm not against using other products though. In fact it's okay for me to try some. It's just I rarely use them. I love to try BB Creams, various eyeliners, contouring powder, but I'll think I'll just use them whenever I go to events.

Contrary to taking advantage of make-up products, I'm really a big-eyed when it comes to accessories! I really loved the black-and-white scheme so elegant and powerful. So just a simple make-up will do.:)

Earrings from Accessoires Belle| Bangle from Craft Monster's Flower Realm
So when we got there, we met our relatives and they did say:

"Moriela, bagay sa'yo 'yang damit mo! Saan mo 'yan binili? Pumapayat ka ata ah! Nagdadiet ka ba?"
and I was like:

"Hindi po ako nagpapapayat! Hindi po talaga! Pero 'yung damit sa Genevieve Gozum , pinili ni Mama!"

I really don't know how to react that time -_-

My relatives and me

All in all that day was really tiring. But fun! Next day was our org's GA so I have to regain my energy.

Does my look still stunning?

How about you? Do you have a frustrated-story-turned-blogger-worthy post like mine? Share it! I'll take time to read them :D

Love Lots,

Some Love from Pandora's Boxes

Hi there lovely ladies!

Look at my eyes and be hypnotize!

Kidding! :)

Blessing has once again fallen into my arms. Lucky me, I won again in a giveaway contest. This time I won a pair of lovely brown grang-grang from Pandora's Boxes. It's actually my first time to own a pair of contact lenses and I don't even now how to use it. Good thing, there's ate Paige of Petit Rayon de Soleil (Sweet Little Bits) to help me with this. She taught me how to wear it and in fact, it actually took us about 30 minutes to wear this contacts. I find it really really hard to wear it on my own. It seems as if I cried a thousand tears because of the eye solution that kept on dripping. :)) I salute those who wear contact lenses everyday. I bet it will take me an hour just to wear it on my own, though I haven't tried doing so. I only wear this under ate Paige's supervision. :))

Thank you so much to Pandora's boxes for my first ever contact lense and to Ate Paige for helping me wear them. If you want to try wearing contacts, don't hesitate to trust your eyes to Pandora's Boxes. They will surely give your eyes a pretty instant make-over!

SO here's a picture of it, close-up.
You can see the brown patterns in the lenses. Pretty, right? :)

And, here I am at your service, bringing you a late review of my new contact lenses!
Brown Grang-grang looks best during the day. For those who doesn't want contact lenses that are too loud (noticeable), I bet you'll surely love this brown Grang-grang contacts.

PS: I'm wearing contacts for aesthetic purposes only. My eyes are still good. :)

For more infos and to order your own lovely contacts, check out Pandora's Boxes. They offer a wide variety of contact lenses, make-ups and other beauty products that will surely satisfy your needs and wants.

Have a great weekend lovelies!

Lotsa love,

Noli Me Tangere:The Opera by The Dulaang UP

Noli Me Tangere is one of the most celebrated and portrayed novel of Dr. Jose Rizal. Back when I was a third year high school student, reading this had contributed a lot to appreciating the history of our country. I liked it more than El Filibusterismo. A mixture of love story, revenge, family bonds, and social issues makes Noli more interesting. I've also seen the TV series of this starring Joel Torre as Crisostomo Ibarra and Chin Chin Gutierrez as Maria Clara.

Now in college, when I first heard of Noli Me Tangere: The Opera, I was excited! Really! Seeing this on stage, I imagine them acting those chapters I've been reading before makes my mind reminisce the story.

Dulaang UP opens it 37th season with Noli Me Tangere: The Opera (Return Engagement)

Most of us here including Aimee are going to watch this! So if you wanna watch with us, just comment below! It really is a must-see show!

Caronia Tropical Doll collection X Blogger bonding!

Hello Charmed girls!

Last, last Friday, we Paige, Aimee and I had a blogger bonding. Means we had bonding, like taking pictures, posing like crazy and the like. It all started when Paige asked us to paint our nails with her new Caronina nail polishes (see her post here!). And we ended up taking pictures, and yes, blogging about it. :)

Aimee and I posing with our newly polished nails by Paige.

On Aimee: Caronia Nail Polish in Kiwi  On MoMo: Caronia Nail Polish in Tangerine

Paige had picked colors that suits our skin tone and personality. Aimee had that alabaster skin and the green one matched her skin very well! Mine is like a clash of red and orange, good for my natural beige skin.

Paige and me! Say welcome to my new hair!

Pictures we had featuring our nails!

Total opposites!

Cutey, dreamy Aimee

Fierce, charmed girl, MoMo

Aimee with Mikee

The one on the right is Mikee. She has been the one taking pictures! Thanks Mikee!
Trivia: Mikee is a varsity chess player here in UP(I tried "googling" her name, and I saw it in a lot of chess rankings and competition!). Our orgmate and friend, she's really kind and cute!

Me and Mikee

What's more fun than having your blogger friends right here, not just one call away but just one..uhmm... whisper away? Haha :D  So we're making the most of it. Not everyone of us can be in just one time and be ready for doing this and end up posting it. When we found the right time, we didn't waste time! Shoot!

How about you? Share us your bonding experience with your blogger friends too! Even if you don't have (yet), then we can be one, or two! Haha :) Just keep in touch with us!

The Amazing Spider-Man By Nuffnang and Energizer

Hello Charmed Girls!

Sorry for the late post of this! Yeah, I won (again) tickets to The Amazing Spider-Man sponsored by Nuffnang ang Energizer and I was so glad to watch it with my dad! Thanks Nuffnang and Energizer! You're the best!

This time it would be Andrew Garfield who would portray the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man. What can I say? He's so cute! And I really loved how the movie goes well with the original story. More of the scientific side ( aside from the fact that Peter Parker is a (cute) smart student / scientist/ photographer/ artist) . Well he's so talented, okay? I would really recommend this movie to watch for. You would appreciate it more because of the great flow of the movie.

I'm so happy I watched it! And that's because of Nuffnang and Energizer!

I still wonder why the location was in Power Plant Mall in Rockwell. The previous screenings were at Shang Cineplex.

A free tumbler popcorn and iced tea, anyone?

Shirt from Hurley | Shorts - Market, Market | Earrings from Craft Monster's Flower Realm | Sailor ring -Papemelroti  from Aimee

I borrowed this sailor ring from Aimee! She said she bought it from Papemelroti. It's so cute!

Also thanks to Ate Paige for my nails :D Have you read her blog post about it? Comment here if you had!

Loot bag from Energizer

At the middle it's a headlight that turns into either white or red light :D
Have you watched the movie too? Or are you one of the Nuffnang winners? Share your experience too!

Love Lots,
